Tell us your current position, company and describe what you do?  I am currently an Event Designer for Tasty Catering. I design special events including weddings, corporate events, picnics, and a host of other special events

What aspects of hospitality do you incorporate in your business today?  We treat our clients like family. We believe in doing what is right and sticking to our core values. This creates a unique experience for our clients. Our morals are what drives the genuine relationships that we have and are able maintain with our clients

Where did your hospitality career begin and when was that “aha” moment when you knew you were supposed to be in hospitality as a career?  My hospitality career started during my senior year of college. At the time I had an internship at Indianapolis Central Library working with Special Events Department and fell in love with the process of planning everything out on paper and watching it come to life!

How many years have you been in the hospitality business?  6 years

What type of events you plan? I plan special events including weddings, company events, picnics, baby showers and the list goes on!

What qualities to you feel a person needs to have to be hospitality professional? Creativity, servitude, and passion

What do you love about planning events in Chicago? Being able to see the different venues. I love how all venues has its own unique style

What do you recommend for others who want to get into the hospitality profession? Joining an organization and networking is key in this industry. Also, maintaining those industry relationships

Who has been the biggest influence in your life? My mother and my grandmother raising me to be the woman I am today. I am forever grateful for their consistent support.

What kinds of things really make you laugh? I love a good comedy

What is your favorite movie of all time? Why so?  I love Marvel movies! When I was younger, I use to watch them with my dad, that was our “thing”.

Have you received any praise or accolades recently? The leadership team at Tasty is always encouraging and applauding us for the hard work we are putting in during these difficult times

What don’t people know about you? I have 6 siblings

What is your favorite restaurant or bar (Personally)? Cooper’s Hawk and proud wine club member

What are your hobbies? I love yoga!

What’s your favorite thing about your hometown? There is always something to do in Chicago!

What’s on your bucket list? To see the Northern Lights (Aurora borealis)
